Neighborhood Friends,
In case this did not get passed onto you by your block captains – this is very disturbing.
Please be alert and warn your kids who are out riding bikes in the last few summer evenings before school starts!

Subject: Robbery in Salem Woods
Hi, just wanted to alert you and the other residents of a robbery that occurred Friday, August 20th, between the hours of 7:30 pm-8:00 pm.  The incident occurred in the 4700 block of Revere Drive – the victim was walking towards Salem neighborhood park and was approached by three Hispanic males, believed to be 15 – 17 years of age.  The suspects demanded money, and one of the suspects produced a gun.  The victim started to fight the suspects when they took his wallet, and the victim was then stabbed in his chest and hand with a large knife.

Please just remind residents to be extra aware of their surroundings and to keep good distances (personal space) between themselves and strangers.   It’s always best to use the “buddy system” when out and about – especially in the evening.   If they do find themselves the victim of a robbery, it is always best to comply with the suspect’s demands – especially if they are armed.  Money and possessions are replaceable; people are not.   Police should be called as soon as it is safe to do so.   A good description of the suspect (with as many specific details as possible) as well as direction of travel should be provided.

Please let me know if you need any other information or assistance.  Stay safe,
