MEMBERSHIP: Nancy Monroe
The committee maintains the association's membership roster, develops a "Welcome Package" that contains information about the association, makes a report on the number of members to the full body at each meeting, and organizes and implements membership drives.
DEED Restriction: Peter Leavit
Develops and maintains a website for the association, keeps the website current, and provides links to government and non-government sites of interest.
Neighborhood Watch: Skip Hyman
Neighborhood Watch brings members together with the 4th Police District to keep a trained eye and ear on our community, while demonstrating our presence at all times of day and night.
Facilities: Ed Robles
The facilities committee is responsible for organizing members and contractors for grounds upkeep, pool operations, etc.
Activities Committee: Sarah Ezell
The Activities Committee organizes a variety of events, trips, and social gatherings for the SWCA’s members, as well as the entire neighborhood of Salem Woods.
Website Committee: Chairman Needed
The website committee chair is the liaison between SWCA and the webmaster.
- The chair directs the webmaster as to what content SWCA shall have on the site.
- This person is trained by the webmaster to post and edit content on the website. Some technical skills are required to perform these changes.
- To be a spokesperson for the website and to be a contact person for submitting content for the website.
Welcome Committee: Doris Meixel
The purpose of the welcoming committee is to reach out to new families upon arrival and ensure that they are made to feel welcome. The committee will provide our new neighbors with resources about Virginia Beach, and vital neighborhood information.
